Bad Things Play Here Release Date Announcment!

Bad Things Play Here has a release date!!!!

Excited, right? I'm excited! This is the first adult Paranormal Romance I've released in...a long time. I'm really hoping that you all enjoy it, especially because it's looking more and more like I'll continue with it and write about some more of those sins/gods! ;) But I digress.

I can't wait for you guys to meet these characters, and get to revisit some old ones (Hadrian, for instance)! This book deals with a ton of new people in the Underworld universe, but includes a couple trips down below, and a Reaper or two. This is an adult book meant for 18+, due to strong language and sexual themes. Please keep that in mind!

So, without further ado, the release date for Bad Things Play Here is...

JUNE 9th!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I will not be setting up a preorder. I thought about it, but I'm waiting on the proof paperback copies first and those won't arrive until a few days prior to the release anyway so...But I will post links to all of the purchase sites on the 9th! This book will be available in paperback, and ebook, on Amazon and through Smashwords.com! If you don't know, purchasing from the latter allows you to get epub, PDF, and/or mobi. files, so you can read on multiple devices!

There's also currently a giveaway going on for (1) paperback and (3) ebooks, so be sure to check the previous post and sign up! Everyone gets a free entry, and there are a ton of other ways to enter as well!

I'm going to drop the blurb here again for you, and the link to the Goodreads.com account! Adding it to your TBR list will also make it easier to purchase a copy when it's out! :)

Blurb:

You can’t escape destiny…

Piper Anesidora hates her last name, and the Reaper and demon infested life that comes with it. For centuries, her family has been tasked with protecting Pandora’s Box, and ensuring it’s never reopened. That’s why five years ago she ran away, hoping to build a normal life, one of her own choosing. And it worked. For a little while. But now her brother has been taken by Orpheus, a malicious soul who’s escaped from the Underworld, and if that isn’t bad enough, he’s also stolen the box. The sooner she finds her brother and stops Orpheus from unleashing hell on earth, the better. Piper wants nothing more than to return to the mundane existence she’s created for herself. That is until she’s partnered with the one guy capable of making her crave more. She’s always been told giving into sin is wrong, but her ancestors clearly never met Lust.

You can’t resist temptation…

Reece Luben takes intimate knowledge to a whole new level. As the Greek god of lust, he has a long standing reputation to uphold as a playboy, despite the fact he’s grown bored with the game. It’s been centuries since he’s cared about someone other than his maenads, so he passes the time getting people to shed their inhibitions. As one of the few beings who can sense Pandora’s Box, Reece has no choice but to help Piper find and stop Orpheus, even though he’s avoided her family since the start of his second life. But the feisty Anesidora woman makes him feel things he’s long forgotten, and what starts out as one night giving into desire turns into another…and another. What happens when the god of lust decides he’s changing the game and playing for keeps?

Giveaway!

Before I get into BTPH, figured I'd mention that there's a giveaway for Amid Stars and Darkness over on Goodreads.com right now!

Hey guys! I thought it'd be fun to host a giveaway for my upcoming Paranormal Romance, Bad Things Play Here! If you haven't yet heard, this book takes place in the same universe as my Underworld Saga! The only difference is while that series was meant for a younger audience, this book (which as of now is a stand-alone) is NOT. Again, this is an Adult Paranormal Romance book, with mature themes such as language and sexual situations. Please keep that in mind when entering!

All right, now that that's out of the way, the giveaway will last one month, and be for (1) Paperback copy, signed, and (3) eBook copies in any format the winners want. Here's the catch, I can only ship the paperback in country (USA). I'm sorry, but shipping costs are crazy and I can't afford to send them anywhere else. However, because of this I've increased the chances of winning an ebook copy for anyone living outside of the US. When you're entering, just scroll to the bottom and if you live in another country you can get an extra three entries added!

There are a ton of different ways everyone can enter, including a few that can be done daily. The exact release date of the book has yet to be decided, but it will be sometime in June. I know this process is moving rather quickly, but it's mostly because I don't want it to interfere with the book I have coming out in July (which is with a major publishing company). I'm leaving a link to the Goodreads.com page below (adding it to your TBR shelf gets you a couple entries!) as well as reposting the blurb!

Questions and comments are more then welcome! They even earn you more entries! ;)

About Bad Things Play Here!

I mentioned in the reveal that I was going to do a more condensed post for Bad Things Play Here, so here it is! If you haven't already heard, this is an upcoming book set in the same universe as the Underworld Saga. HOWEVER, it is an Adult Paranormal Romance, NOT a Young Adult Paranormal. Please keep that in mind! This means there were will be strong language and sexual situations not suitable for a younger audience. If you're wondering why the cover says Seven Deadlies on the side, that is because, while this is a stand alone, I've been playing with the idea of making it part of a series and writing a book for each of the seven deadly sins, which in my universe are known as, you guessed it, the Seven Deadlies. This is not definitive yet, but while talking it over with my cover designer, she really wanted to do something on the side like that so I figured, why not. If I end up doing more with them then this cover is already set, and if I don't...no harm. It still looks really cool, am I right?! :)

Anyway, there are a couple appearances by familiar faces from the Underworld books, but Piper and Reece's (who is Dionysus) story takes place before the start of Unhinged, and just after Spencer and Micah's incident on the bridge. The release date is looking like sometime in June as of right now, but keep checking back for a set date!

This is now up on Goodreads, so please go add it to your TBR shelves:

Cover Reveal + Blurb!

It's here! It's here! It's here!

I can't even begin to express how IN LOVE with this cover I am!!!! Like, crazy, head over heels, everyone-I-love-now-has-competition in love!

This cover has all the elements I was looking for! It's edgy, sexy, and a little bit mysterious. It was important for me, going into this, to make sure that the cover looked like the paranormal romance that it is. Even though it takes place in the same universe as Underworld, unlike those, this isn't a YA book, so I wanted to show a bit more skin to help make that clear.

But I also didn't want to make it too crazy. This isn't an erotica. (Have I tortured you guys enough, or did you just scroll down and get to the good stuff?) All right, well without further ado...

The cover of Bad Things Play Here!

What do you think? Do you love it?! As of right now, this is looking like a June release, and the plan is for it to be available in paperback and ebook! You'll have to keep checking back for updates about that, as it's all tentative at the moment! :)

I want to give a huge thank you to Melissa over at the Polyethnic Publishing for helping me with this cover! She put up with a ton of nitpicking on my part, and was super patient throughout! Also, come on! This cover is gorgeous! She seriously outdid herself! You should all go follow her on Instagram! ;)

And, as promised yesterday, I'm also supplying the official blurb below! I'll post the cover and blurb again in a more condensed fashion at a later date, for now I like all the pomp! Please let me know what you all think!!!! Questions are always welcome!

Cover Reveal Tomorrow!!!

I've been told that I should be able to do a cover reveal tomorrow!!! Yay!

I won't be posting it anywhere but on the blog, and by proxy, Goodreads! If you're reading this on the latter, than you should know that this post was originally written and up on the 18th, so you should head over to the blog to check the 19th post which will have the cover reveal! Goodreads updates a day behind, and you also miss out on all the funny gifs I use. I'm hoping to be able to do it by early afternoon, but we'll have to see! The designer is tweaking a few things first so fingers crossed!

I'm really excited for you guys to see this, AND once I've revealed the cover I can start thinking about organizing some giveaways! :) :) :)

So that I can tell you something today aside from that, I'll let you know that title has been decided and will be:

Bad Things Play Here!

When I reveal the cover, I'll also give you guys the blurb!

Books Books Books!

Hello! Hello! Hello!

Hope you all had a phenomenal weekend! It was Mother's Day so I spent some time with my wonderful mom (though, sadly we didn't make more egg rolls. If you follow me on Instagram, you know what I'm talking about). I just saw King Arthur today and LOVED it! So be prepared for some Charlie Hunnam gifs throughout this particular post ;)

The next few months a few things are going to be happening, so I figured I'd jump ahead and start talking about a few of them now before the crazy begins! Hopefully many of you have heard already about my book Amid Stars and Darkness, which will be released on July 18th! This will be in hardcover, can already be preordered, and will be available in bookstores across the country! I am VERY excited about this, as it will be my first traditionally published book! I can't wait for you guys to be introduced to these characters, to see how far the book has come since it was written over a year ago, and to get your hands on a copy of that beautiful cover!

Again, this will come out July 18th, and I'm sure there will be lots more I'll get to tell you about revolving that closer to the release date! Be sure to keep checking back for info! :)

In other news, I spoke a little in my previous post about working on a new book set in the same universe as the Underworld Saga. I want to say thank you to the people who contacted me through Goodreads offering to be beta readers! You guys have already been a huge help, and I can't wait to get the rest of the book finished and hear your thoughts on it!!!! Progress is going a lot faster than I hoped, and as of right now, it's looking like I might be able to do a June release!

I know, that seems rather fast to get a book out there, but as I'm working on this one alone, and kick started the beta process, I'm hoping that it's a doable goal. I'm still waiting on the cover, but I'm getting help from a friend on that one, so if it takes a little time, it takes a little time ;). As soon as I see it and it's where I want it to be, I'll do a cover reveal!!! There's also the matter of the title being a tad tentative at the moment, though I'm almost certain it's sticking to what I originally planned. We'll have to see. For those of you who know me, or have seen me through this process before, you know when I'm working through a project I'm a little bit like this...

So if I seem to fall by the wayside on a few other things (for example, I didn't post to Instagram today...whoops) that's why! I'm working hard on bringing this book to life! It's a story I've had in my head for a while now, which is why it's moving so quickly. Anyway though, here's a little more news about this book:

Currently, it's titled Bad Things Play Here, and the most important thing to know about it is that it is NOT a YA. Yes, I know. That's crazy. For the past few years I've focused most of my energy on writing young adult novels. Some of you may recall that I wrote a few paranormals at the start of my self publishing career, however. While I shelved those projects and they're no longer available, I realized the reason I kept hitting a wall with the Dionysus story I was dying to write was because I was going about it all wrong. I was trying to write a book about the God of Lust without putting too much emphasis and detail on the most important aspect of that. The actual lust. After some careful consideration, I started fresh and let the story take me where it wanted, without worrying about keeping it PG or even PG-13. The end result was an Adult Paranormal Romance! It's been such a long time since I've written one of these, and this will be the first time I publish one under my actual name so...yikes. That's a lot of pressure! BUT I'm passionate about these characters, and really glad that I found the right way to do them justice and tell their story! For those of you not into Paranormal Romance novels...

Personally, I love them. I read all genres myself (though I'm not a huge fan of historical fiction, or mysteries) and hope those of you who do so as well will give this book a shot! To be clear, in case some of you have never ready a Paranormal Romance: This book is meant for an audience 18+. There will be language, and sexual encounters. While it may take place in the same universe as the Underworld Saga, unlike that series, it is NOT a teen book. Please keep this in mind! I don't want anyone accidentally reading it expecting something like Unhinged, and then being shocked by the swear words and, to be frank, the explicit sex. Though, also to keep things clear, this also is NOT an erotica. So please don't go into it expecting there to be just sex, because that's not the case either. I know. I'm making this complicated. But again, I've never self published a romance under my own name before, and seeing as how the rest of the work I now have available, or that will soon be available, is traditionally published and YA I feel like this is very important for me to emphasize.

There's a blurb in the works, but just to tell you a little about the plot, the book centers around Dionysus, the Greek god of lust. It takes place three months before Unhinged, directly after Micah's death. A malicious spirit slips through the gate, possesses a body, and steals Pandora's Box. Dionysus and the woman who's tasked with keeping the box closed, have to join forces in order to find it before it's too late.

Hadrian makes an appearance or two, which I love, but aside from that this is a stand alone. You do not have had to have read any of the Underworld books in order to understand this story, and there won't be any more books about Dionysus after this one. It will have a HEA ending, and won't leave you hanging or waiting for the next part of the story. :)

Questions and comments, as always, are welcome! Keep checking back for more news, an actual blurb, and the cover reveal! Thanks again to all the beta readers who contacted me!

Updates + Beta Readers?

Hey guys,

Figured I'd stop in and give you guys a few updates on what's going on. I still don't know anything about hardcover release dates for Unleashed. I know it's frustrating, it is for me too. As soon as I get news about it, I'll be sure to let you all know! I know some of you who purchased the hardcover version of book 1 have been waiting so that you can have a set.

The third book in the series, Unbound, is in the editing process. And my book Amid Stars and Darkness comes out in July! I'm really REALLY excited for this one! It's being published by Swoon Reads, and branch of Macmillan and you'll be able to pick up copies at the bookstore on release day! It's also available for preorder on both Barnes & Noble .com and Amazon! The book is being released in hardcover, and is a YA Sci-Fi Romance. Sci-Fi isn't my typical genre, so I'm even more excited about you guys getting to read this!

Also, remember the giveaway for a signed print of Hadrian Hale ends in a few days! You can enter two posts down! :)

In other news, I've started work on a new book set in the same universe as the Underworld. Some of you might remember the first attempt at Dionysus's story a few years ago. Well, I've reworked the plot and decided the reason it didn't quite feel right the first time I tried it was because it's not YA. So, it's either going to be an NA novel, or an adult Paranormal Romance (I'm leaning towards the later) just FYI. I'm hoping to get this written and edited ASAP. It's already a good chunk of the way through. :)

I'm looking for a handful of beta readers who might be interested in helping me out with this one. What would happen is I'd send you 3-5 chapters every week until the books completion. More than likely I'll be able to send you more, but we'll keep it to there for now. In return, I'd want feedback about how the story is going, and any concerns or grammatical errors (which there will undoubtedly be because this is a rough draft). Keep n mind again that this is NOT a young adult novel, despite the fact it takes place in the same universe and Hadrian makes a brief appearance. This will have adult themes, sexual situations, and a couple of swear words.

If interested, please leave me a comment and your email. I'll get a hold of you :) Or you can leave me a PM on Goodreads.com if you're more comfortable with that! :)

The cover is currently in the works, so the closer we get to release day, I'll schedule a reveal!

As always questions and comments welcome! Thanks for reading!
